Pittsville Area Historical Society survives via a combination of volunteer work, memberships, donations, grants and visitors. As a strictly volunteer organization we are always looking for help! Most volunteers work Thursdays, March through September, and miscellaneous days the other months. Many contribute volunteer work related to their skills and interests on an as-needed basis. Others help when needed for fundraisers and other events or activities. Volunteer work is greatly appreciated, yet others may only wish to provide financial help. Not all members are expected to work; we only ask that volunteers do what they can, when they can. Those who pay membership dues but do not wish to work are greatly appreciated just the same. Dues are $15 for family memberships and $10 for individuals per year. Beginning in 2014, members can choose to be listed on this page in recognition of support or they can remain anonymous. Please join us or give financially as you can!

Donations of historical local artifacts are of course highly desirable. If you have an item or items that might contribute to an exhibit or that should perhaps become part of our museum, please contact any officer or member (see below) of PAHS (or see the address below). Items can be gifted meaning ownership is forever transferred to PAHS, or they can be loaned for display for any period of time (ownership remains with the lender). Please understand that after research and vetting, not all artifacts may be accepted, and if accepted, how, where, and when items are put on display is entirely up to PAHS. Gifted items are tax deductible (please refer to IRS rules); loaned items are not. If you would like to make a tax deductible monetary contribution to assist us with improving or expanding museum displays, or to maintain/improve our museum in any way please send inquiries/contributions to:
